TWL Comic-Con 2012 Panel and Photo Recap: Supernatural, Once Upon a Time, Vampire Diaries and more!

We love nerds.
Not able to make the trek to Comic-Con this year? No problem, we've got your covered. From all the hottest panels (think Supernatural, Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones) to who wore what out on the exhibit floor, to what was happening outside the convention center on 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp District.

It's hard to believe how quickly the 4 day onslaught of Comic-Con passes here in San Diego. (Well, 4.5 if you count Preview Night. Which, based on the stellar quality of the pilots we saw that night, we do.)

Let's start with what was happening in Ballroom 20 and Hall H. Because, let's be honest, until you graduate to either of those places, your fan base just isn't rabid enough. Unless you're Grimm, who was regulated to Room 6A...and should have been in Ballroom 20 based on the line of fans waiting to see the cast and crew.

Comic-Con 2012 Panel Wrap Up

Here are the transcripts of all the panels we live blogged. Kick back, relax, and relive the memories. We'll be taking a nap, as we're still exhausted from the mayhem of 120,000 geeks in once place.
(Still don't know how the Comic-Con and San Diego Convention Center folks pull this off without a hitch every year, but we suspect it involves copies amounts of Red Bull and Starbucks.)
  • Big Bang Theory panel - Even though Johnny Galecki couldn't make it (plane delays), fans were treated to cool surprises - namely, Jim Parsons head via satellite and a NASA astronaut!
  • Community panel - Joel McHale ruled the roost, and Chevy Chase bailed on this panel.
  • Dexter panel - Michael C. Hall and cast killed it in Ballroom 20.
  • Elementary panel - Jonny Lee Miller's come a long way since Trainspotting, even if this new series cuts a little too close to Hugh Laurie's House, M.D.
  • Game of Thrones panel - If you thought the squeals and shrieks were loud last year...you were right. With a lack of hunktastic himbos on the stage this year, the decibel level is quite lower.
  • Once Upon a Time panel - Living up to its premise, this is simply the most charming panel of the Con.
  • Resident Evil panel - Milla Jovovich and team deliver on the gory goods.
  • Supernatural panel - The Winchester boys were back in Hall H, which once again was packed to the rafters with it's passionate fanbase to see Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, et al.
  • Total Recall panel - This panel wins over the TWL team, surprisingly.
  • True Blood panel - Even with a pregnant Sookie Anna Paquin toting twins, the crowd in Ballroom 20 was all atwitter over Joe Mangniello, Ryan Kwanten, and Alexander Skaarsgard. (Who can blame them?)
  • Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 panel - It's almost over, and the fans know it, which makes them sad...but the cast knows it, too, and they're kind of happy about new opportunities.
  • The Vampire Diaries panel - Saturday afternoon turned out to be all vampires, all the time in Ballroom 20.
  • The Walking Dead panel - Four words: Season 3 preview trailer.
  • Warehouse 13 panel - The second cutest panel. No, seriously.

Comic-Con 2012 Photo Wrap Up

While there will always be puffy Princess Leia's in the house, we caught a few other memorable photos at this year's Con.

Honey badger would be so proud.
We think.
