The character names may be mindblowing, but what a show!  Now here’s the live blog for the panel for HBO’s bloody good hit series, Game of Thrones!

Our moderator is the man who writes the books himself:  Mr. George R.R. Martin!

Mod:  Wow, there are even more of you than last year. Thanks for coming and for watching Game of Thrones.

Cue highlights from last season!
Plus, a preview reel with an intro to new characters from Season 3.

3:01 p.m. Mod:  The cast is getting bigger and bigger, so I'm going to have to start killing these characters off pretty quickly.

Intro cast and crew:  Exec Producer Carolyn Strauss, Richard Madden, Michelle Fairelly, Alfie Allen, Rose Lesley, Emelia Clarke.

3:06 p.m.  Mod:   One of the things that I love is a gray characters.  And I don't think anybody is grayer than  Theon Greyjoy.  How do you see Theon?  /Allen:  He's got issues, but i can relate to that.  Everyone's flawed.  Dark and more complex characters are more interesting.

3:10 p.m.  Mod:  You've got a sex scene too, Richard.  Which would you rather do?  Sex or violence?  /Madden:  Definitely violence.

3:12 p.m.  Mod:  Michelle, you've got a lot of dark material this season.  As an actress, how do you approach it?  Fairley:  No, you get your script.  Your script is your Bible.  You read and read and read and read.  Me personally, I really enjoy the really emotional stuff.  This is my favorite stuff.

3:14 p.m.  Mod:  Rose, you were the only member of our cast raised in a castle.  /Lesley:  (laughs) It's definitely not Winterfell.

3:16 p.m.  Clarke:  It's an experience, this show.  I was in an elevator and this woman turns to me and whispers:  Kahleesi.  (Laughs all around)

3:17 p.m.  Mod:  So Alfie, I understand you died this season.  /Allen:  I died?  I just don’t know.  It’s a mystery to me.  For all I know, I may not be in here.

3:20 p.m.  Mod:  Introduces Hodor, Kristian Hairn, sitting in the audience.  (Applause)

3:22 p.m.  Mod:  Was that CGI or was that a wolf this season?  Graywind?  /Madden:  If it were real, I'd be terrified.  It's a stuffed head on a wooden stick.  They just tell me where to put my hand and I do it.

3:25 p.m.  Mod:  Saw the dream return of your husband.  /Clarke:  yes, walking into the tent, it was like... wow, a dream.

3:27 p.m.  Fan:  What was the most enjoyable scene to film this season?  /Allen:  I liked my last scene.  Sort of the speech… getting knocked out… it was great.  /Fairley:  loved my scenes with Richard.  /Madden:  yes, I love my scenes with Michelle.  We have a great time.  In our tent.  (laugh).  /Fairley:  Fully clothed.  He is my son.

3:29 p.m.  Fan:  How do you enjoy wearing the amazing costumes on the show?  /Madden:  When I'm in all my armor and my leather, it affects the way I walk, so it makes it easy to get in character.  It's a dream.  One of the best thing I get to do.

3:32 p.m.  Clarke:  I enjoyed the costume from Season 2.  But we did change the costume, to make it more... warm.

3:35 p.m.  Fan:  Richard, you're beautiful.  What's your favorite place to film and why?  /Madden:  Thank you very much.  My favorite place to film was Winterfell.  They burned incense when they're filming.  Each part of the set has a different smell.

3:38 p.m. Mod:  I don't think my books are any sort of veiled statements about what's going on politically or economically.  The heart of the story is the characters.

3:40 p.m.  Fan:  I came all the way from Iceland.  To George, I know you've got turtles on your hat.  Was that related to your first work?  Mod:  Yes, in a way it is.  The only pets I could have growing up were alternative pets... not dogs and cats... so I had turtles.

3:42 p.m.  Fan;  Have you read the books and added touches to the characters?  /Fairley:  Yes, we have read the books.  /Madden:  It's great source material.  Try to make it honest to George's work.  We really try to get into it as much as we can.

3:44 p.m.  (Last question)  Fan:  For Emilia, so easy to root for your character, because she's so strong, but what do you see are her vulnerabilities?  /Clarke:  I think she has a lot of them.  One of the biggest is self-doubt.  She needs to be as strong as she can and not show her fear.

Closing with a last Game of Thrones treat!
